Rosenberg Telescopes was started with one thing in mind, which is to deliver the highest quality telescopes that can not be found anywhere that everyone can afford. Our goal is to provide research telescopes to Universities all over the world at fractions the cost with our new low cost, high performance sandwich mirrors, and testing. Our current achievements are a 1.2meter sandwich mirror from Soda Lime glass, and now are producing multiple sandwich mirrors every month from Borofloat (same as pyrex). We wish that not only Universities have these fine optical telescopes, but also strong enthusiasts of Astronomy, that had no choice but to pay large sums of money for optics that are sometimes not correctly represented.

How Rosenberg Telescopes Started: As the founder, Mikhail Rosenberg, I used to be a Senior Engineer for optics in a major Silicon Valley company, then moved to consulting for hedge funds in New York City. This is where I realised I was not really following any real dream, and decided to make changes in my life, and in academia if possible. In December of 2007, I started a small company in China to begin this process, only until May of 2008 did I finally move to China. The past year, I have begun manufacturing large mirrors, mounts and telescopes, with extensive testing to ensure a procedure was in place for making kit telescopes readily available that anyone can assemble. Only until recently was everything absolutely perfect and ready to open the doors to the public and Universities.
